Daniel is a Principal at Senet and together with Julian, leads the Legal practice. He has extensive wagering and media experience having worked for 12 years in senior roles at Australia’s largest wagering operator, Tabcorp. As divisional General Counsel and while managing the regulatory portfolio for the division, Dan advised the Board, senior executives and management on a range of regulatory, corporate, commercial and compliance matters, including in relation to the complex $11 billion merger of the Tabcorp and Tatts groups in 2017 to become one of the world's largest entertainment groups and on numerous licensing and other strategic projects in Australia and internationally.
Prior to Tabcorp, he was a solicitor for five years with top tier law firm Herbert Smith Freehills in the Corporate team advising ASX-listed and other clients. Dan has a deep interest in the sector and enjoys building stakeholder relationships and applying strong legal and commercial acumen and insight to solve problems and create meaningful value.
Daniel holds an MBA from Melbourne Business School and Bachelor degrees in Commerce (Accounting and Finance) and Law (with first class honours) from The University of Sydney. Dan also has post-graduate qualifications in Finance and has undertaken leadership training at Harvard University. He is also a member of the International Association of Gaming Advisors.
